Being overweight makes me not want to wear belts or draw any attention to my midsection even though I know the outfit would look better styled with waist emphasis. I really enjoy how you explain things and the pictures you show are clearly make your point. I think I may be a soft dramatic and that may be the reason very casual clothes have always looked sloppy on me whereas they looked cute on my friends. Even at 67 I still want to look nice and appropriate when out and about. Thanks for your help!
OMG as a soft dramatic, I never understood why knee length dresses and skirts only looked good on me unless I wore heels until this video!! I totally would think I’m “following all the rules,” getting a good SD wrap dress, following the rule of thirds, etc, but it just never sat right, even though it would look good on others. I even have one particular dress in mind that for all intents and purposes “checked all the boxes,” for kibbe, for color analysis, for my day to day needs… but I ended up selling it bc I never felt my best in it, and now I know why! This is why I LOVE your channel…. Girl, I am so tired of boring videos that don’t tell me anything new 😂 but you’re not just “style 101,” you’re “style 401!” This higher level of thinking is SO refreshing, and *actually* helpful! Keep ‘em coming 😊
Aww thank you so much for this ❤ "Style 401" is awesome haha
@@stylerefinementanother one happy SD here ❤. Now i undeerstand my love to high boots (and shorter lengths on dresses)
OP ditto. As a soft dramatic my experience echos yours.
I’m 5’8” so people always say I have long legs. But I also found Bermuda shorts etc strange on me. Now I understand why, my shins are short compared to long thighs! Please also discuss tips for pear shapes. But not the “usual” tips, because they always show fuller women. I’m lean, tall, have a tiny waist but have big hips/butt. I’m a narrow small build overall except for hips which sometimes makes the styles I like look frumpy.
This please! I'm also relatively tall with quite a slight build and lean body, but I have a butt and upper thighs that are out of proportion. I tend to wear looser bottoms (like the normal advice for pears) and keep focus on my small waist.
Yes please!
Thank you for breaking this down so succinctly. I have unsubscribed to some fashion youtubers, because I feel like I have outgrown their content and it's like yeah these tips every one gives. Your content is really helping me, develop my own style - instead of just buying someone else's.
This is the video I didn't know I needed! Thank you! At 5'4" with a short torso and long legs, slender limbs and curvy, the best way to for me to incorporate the rule of thirds was to wear knee length dresses, Bermuda shorts or capris that fall right below the knee. They really balance me out. Fashion police say these are out of style and make you look old. When I wear them, I get compliments in real life. I've had to go against the grain and often only find what works for me in thrift shops from years past. Short shorts look ridiculous on me. This video helps me put words to the feelings I've had about my body and style.❤
Omg I have the same body type, brb going to go try out these styles rtfn 😭😭
@@mahamzahid7846 I hope it helps! So the bottom third is from the floor to where the bottom of the shorts hits the knee, the middle third is from the bottom of the short to where the shirt hits the top of the shorts, and the top third is from the bottom of the shirt to the top of the head. The tricky part is faking a waist below the belly button near the top of the hip to help create the top third. Sometimes it requires tucking. Also getting a boxy cropped shirt sometimes works. Avoid belts.
@@pajamamama5965 yeah belts are a no go for me, do you opt for low/mid rise too?
@@mahamzahid7846 yes only midrise. its like a high rise on me lol
That’s the most detailed and helpful explanation I’ve heard of the rule of thirds. Thank you for the effort you put into your research and presentation of the info!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Ive always complained about my short shins and my mom told me it was physically impossible to have “short shins”. Thank you for validating me! 😂
Haha I think it's a thing! 😝
How weird to say that it’s physically impossible! I can make people laugh by standing next to them (super short) and then demonstrating how ‘tall’ I am by kneeling next to them.
YYYYES
I got them too. I'm quite proportionate in relation to my head, until the knee. My shins are about 2 inches too short for the rest of my body. Fortunately easy to fix with heels as mentioned.
If your mom thinks you don’t have flaws you should believe her.
I’ve been struggling with this recently. If I tuck my top, my waistband basically comes up to my boobs (short-waisted and large-chested). If I don’t tuck, I end up being cut in half and I look dumpy. I’m starting to think I’m not built for separates!
I have that problem too. Dresses do solve the problem but I don't like to wear them in the cold weather. I try to find tops that fall at the top of my hip. A boxy shape shirt works because even though it doesn't accentuate the waist, it also doesn't draw attention to the short distance between the waist and the bottom of the boob. Also monochromatic tops and bottoms works best, but having a lower contrast draws less attention to the line at the waist too. Belts look ridiculous on me. I like to wear oversized earrings and bright lipstick to draw visual attention to my face instead.
@@pajamamama5965 Oh yes, you are both my sisters in a body shape. And I need to wear high waisted pants, otherwise they don't stay in place (waist) safely and comfortably.
Do you know what your kibbe body type is? Short torso and large chest is totally workable for separates, but it depends on the rest of your proportions and lines. I have a short torso and a larger chest, but I’m a flamboyant natural and what works for me would not work for a soft gamine, for example.
Would it help to try a mid-rise or low-rise bottom? I'm similar in that my natural waist feels quite high, but on a longer torso, and my sweet spot for pants is just below my belly button, for the comfort factor and proportions wise.
@@frangipanisandgirl Good idea. I always wear a mid rise but it hits me right above the belly button so it's almost like a high-rise on me LOL. Low rise are too low and they slide down.
Tips for short torso please please please. And great vid as usual :)
Yes I am short waisted too. Please do a video on short waisted girls.
Yes, please
Another vote for short torso, especially petite short torso 😊
Short torso here. It makes me look chunkier because there is less space between the girls and my waist.
Yes! Short waisted, with a very long rise, major violin hips. So hard to find the right pants!
Having the importance of shin length and knee level within the length of the leg explained is a revelation! THANK YOU!!! 🙏🏽💖
11:54 I don’t want to tolerate any piece of my outfit! I want to love everything!!!
Small shins! You’re brilliant! Thank you for taking the time to make such a comprehensive video! Such a big help 🩷
Glad it was helpful!
I JUST found your channel and I’m sold. I now have a stylist ❤
Welcome!! 🥰
You know who else favors full-length dresses and miniskirts, but never knee-length or midi? Kate Moss, because she has bow legs and she intuitively knows that the best hemlines are the ones that either cover her shins completely or stop at the upper thigh. I follow the same strategy because I'm bowlegged too. And my shins are ridiculously short, unlike hers.
I never noticed that about her! That’s so interesting. It’s crazy how many different details we all account for that other people might not even think of at all
@@EmL-kg5gn Yes! Her shins are barely curved at all, but she has spoken about it in interviews. I envy her because my shins are more obviously curved and short. 😭
@@emilyx8377 It’s nice that you can still be inspired by her! But yeah it sounds frustrating. I’m pretty sure my legs aren’t bowlegged so I can’t fully understand but I have similar feelings about some of my other features 💕
@@EmL-kg5gn Exactly. I think most people are so self-conscious about their own bodies that they don't really fixate on anyone else's. I'm not judgmental at all about other people's bodies, just mine.
@@emilyx8377 That’s so true. I’ll see my exact insecurities on someone else and be like wow they’re so pretty!
Dramatic classic here 🙆 I also need vertical lines, T line and balance with my short torso 😍
You're right! You always got us ❤
Igotchu ❤🤘
Jenn, you've quickly become my go-to for clear, concise explanations for making dressing so much easier. Grateful ❤
Thank you for this! It was exactly what I was looking for. I have recently been typed a kibbe soft dramatic and I have a long torso and shorter looking legs and I was feeling a bit confused about applying rule of thirds to my body. Thanks for talking about honoring vertical while having a long torso and shorter looking legs!
Glad it was helpful!
VERY helpful! I have no ankles (cankles) and short shins. So, with my long thighs and torso it's a real challenge for me vertically. Especially as I'm older and can't wear shorts above the knees due to extreme weight gains and losses. I also can't wear heels where I live due to very rough and unevenly sized cobblestones and no sidewalks! I just have to try to bring eyes up above the waist!
I'm with you. I am all of the things you just mentioned, which is so validating.
Have you tried wearing a full-length dress with a high waistline, or a dress that you wear with a brightly colored, wide belt worn a little above your natural waist? That's what I do. My shins are not just short, they're bowed.
Wow this is like science class! I'm off to check the length of my shins in a mirror as I truly have never thought about them before! Very informative and well-explained.
Your insight into these details is fantastic. I find myself watching the videos a few times to absorb the nuances. Thank you, Jenn ❤
Glad you like them! 💕
I think I’m a soft classic and definitely have short shins. This explains to me why I prefer nude heels with dresses hitting at the knee and prefer to match my shoes to my pants. I’m elongating my lower third even though my ID doesn’t place emphasis on it.
Amazing how the rolled up sleeves on that long jacket improves the outfit immensely!
I think this is the missing key! I put things together but this shows how styling with intent really makes a difference!
🤯🤯🤯 Jenn coming through again with the best content on this subject on the internet!! I love that she uses design theories to explain the concepts and not just "vibe". Thank you!!
I have a long torso and short shins I think. My gosh, so many of my previous choices and looks (or disasters) suddenly made sense hahaha! If yesterday I commented about my facial essences, now this got me thinking about my separate body proportions and how fabric falls on my body (Kibbe). They say Gamines are like if you put yin and yang separately in a blender - I think this is a good indication of that for me, besides the other things I found in my Kibbe exploration. Thanks again so much Jenn! You truly bring something new, or at least get us to reflect or consider things in a different way
Thank you SO much for pointing out the ways that the 1/3 on top and 2/3 on bottom “rule” doesn’t always work for everyone and should not always be followed. I hate this “rule” as I prefer a more relaxed 1:1 or 2/3 top and 1/3 bottom look as someone who prefers oversized tops (I don’t like fitted clothes on my torso esp as someone with a bigger stomach) and a sporty/relaxed style. I often find the high waisted styles on other people who follow the rule of thirds just makes their torsos look too short for their legs which makes them look short instead of the tall effect they’re going for so I appreciate that you mentioned this effect. And it’s so true that there are other ways to bring visual interest and that the point of fashion is to not just make ourselves look tall or honor our lines/body types so these rules/guidelines don’t have to always apply - it’s great to have fun just expressing your style, personality and favorite aesthetics without always worrying about flattering or harmonious considerations.
Short Torso/Rectangle Body here! High waisted pants do not work for me. Luckily the length of my legs are somewhat proportioned with perhaps longer shins. At 5'1" I can wear some midi dresses to create visual length, but only if it is a slim, body skimming silhouette without too much volume or structure in the fabric. My legs look best if my skirt or dress hits just below the knee, especially if my outfit if mostly one tone. My proportions were good when I wore shorter skirts and shorts when I was much younger. I prefer to not show that much of my legs anymore. Not a fan of totally flat shoes with dresses or skirts, and wearing pants cropped somewhere above my ankles really looks bizarre. You are spot on about adding an interesting pattern or texture and by balancing volume with fitted!
I wear flat shoes with arch support due to arthritis pain in my entire lower body. Heels are out of the question. I’m 5’1” also.
This woman is a genius!
Honestly as a dramatic, i disregard the rule of 3rds almost entirely. I find that the most flattering styles on me are ones that either elongate my torso (essentially cutting me in half) or styles that maintain vertical all the way through, making no cuts at all. I dont find the 1;2 silhouette flattering because i have narrow hips so when i try to tuck shirts in the bunch up in a really unflattering way, it ends up feeling like I'm trying to accommodate curve i dont have.
Interesting you say this..... because I have found in many cases the outfit proportion not honouring the rule of thirds looks better on me. Other times the rule of thirds outfit is perfection! Our bodies are all so unique.
Wow,your in a diferent place today!!(you are pretty too)
Could you talk mre about styling tips for short calves, short waist/long waist, wide pelvis vs wide femur. I think the propotions of these parts of the body are somehow kibbe related, for example romantics have a short waist,so waist emphasis is essensial for not look bulky and can easly bigger in unflattering way. This is why many of them don't look good in all straight outfit without waist definition.
I've seen some korean channels talking about, since I don't speak korean and reading and see at the same time is difficult,I would be very grateful if you talk about it in in another video 💚.
Great video.
Wow, interesting, wide femur vs wide pelvis. I never heard it mentioned before! I suppose, the difference is that wide pelvis creates heart shaped pelvis with low hips thus legs appear shorter? and wide pelvis makes your hips look round, and torso/legs proportion is balanced?
I tried to incorporate rule of thirds into filming haha XD I have seen some videos on the femur vs pelvis too!! I'll see what I can come up with ❤
You’ve given me so much to think about. I’m going to look at myself differently from now on.
Thank you so much for including the proportion of torso and leg length especially when taking Kibbe types into account. If I wasn’t already a subscriber that would’ve tipped me over an already delightful edge. I’d like to add that layering can also be really fun and very useful especially with color.
Just this morning switched out a right at the knee skirt for a longer one below the knee. Looked much better :)
I don't think Kibbe works very well. I don't fit into any of those categories. But I do know that mid-calf length looks awful on me. Skirts look best on me at the knee, and shorts look best mid-thigh.
Excellent video Jenn! I learned something once again! ❤ I find a half or French tuck in a natural rise bottom (not a super high rise) helps define my waist and create the thirds ratio I need.
OMG YASSSSSSS
I love u Jenn 😂
I’m a FN and i always read you shouldn’t tuck in shirts, instead you should wear long shirts that go til your hip so you don’t cut your vertical but i haaaaaated that and i thought it looked awful.
I always tucked in shirts and wear high-waist whatever bc it felt better to me and i thought i was doing it wrong.
I also thought i was messing up w my length when wearing shorts or minidresses but they just felt so right (specially when combined with heels) but yeah, some kibbe ‘experts’ would say that cuts the vertical 🤦🏻♀️
I love your channel so much. Like another commenter said, it is not fashion 101, it is 401 and i totally agree!!
I already know lots of things about fashion and have a good eye and sense of style, so all these basic channels don’t help me at all. EXCEPT YOURS. You always teach the basic concepts + explain more in depth and give a more “refined” (pun intended) advise.
THANK YOU!!! Keep it up!!! ❤
❤❤❤
Oh my goodness, thanks so much- what a revelation this was to me! I have a short torso, which I'd worked out, but also short shins!! Thanks so much🙏
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you!
The way that other people explain is not accurate, specific, or detailed! 🥰💕
Whoa crazy, my thighs and torso are both long while my calves are definitely short, and I’ve naturally done all of the things you suggested in this video! Knee length anything is my nemesis, and even a small amount of height on my shoes makes a massive difference.
Ohhhhh! I initially commented before finishing this video! Wow!!!! It really helped me better understand why I only like long clothes on me as a flamboyant natural. It isn't only because I dont like my legs! And yes, I do have a clear sense (hitherto unarticulated) that I need to honour my verticals. Thanks so much for this mind-expanding video!
THIS was the breakthrough I needed, that missing piece of info I couldn't articulate or pinpoint! Thank you!
I am a 75 year old woman and I would appreciate help dressing a body that has wrinkles and veins showing on the legs, hands and chest. I try to cover these area since nobody wants to see my wrinkles/veins. I am wondering if texture and color is the answer.
Jenn, you are truly an angel. Everything fashion is one of my special interest since I was a child, but you finally helped me understand so, so much. I learned so much since I found your channel, and my style made a huge improvement thanks to you
🙏❤️😘🤘
Wow so infornative. Thank you.
You're so welcome!
Found this page today, I was always so confused but you give me so much clarity ty🎀
Everything makes so much sense now! I'm tall with short torso and very long thighs. Could never handle pencil skirts and really struggle with separates for work etc
Ooooh, this makes so much sense. I have a long torso, prefer long lines, and my "uniform" is high-waisted pants with tucked-in shirts. That makes a nice 1:2 ratio. Now I want to try to play with this idea of ratios more deliberately.
I like a just below the knee or longer (midi to maxi length) on me best. I'm not tall, I'm just under 5'5" & shorter dresses don't really work for me proportionally or style wise (look too young) If you're a petite & want to lengthen your lower half but prefer shorter skirts/dresses use tights or hosiery in the same color or value of your skirt & shoes to get the impression of a longer line. (If you're a Gamine, you can add patterns or use a contrating color/tone of hosiery) Hosiery has kind of gone out of fashion or is considered dated now but it really can add visual interest to your outfit & balance out any proportional issues. It also keeps you warmer in cooler months & often has built-in smoothing/shaping panels.
Wow I never thought about this. Thank you for sharing
Love this...I need to accommodate vertical at 5.7 not sure if I'm a dramatic but think so...I have longer legs, short waist and top of my legs longer than below the knees. This really spoke to me..never understood why knee length without heels looked frumpy...as always knew my legs were long but this makes total sense. Funny I did understand the short waist making my top half look smaller when tucking in clothes but didn't make the connection with shorter legs from knee down. So obvious when you explain using Kibbe and show the visuals Thank you!! 💖
I had already realized that I look best in minis and maxis. The funny thing is that Im only 5'2 but I photograph as taller
I've always thought head size has something to do with it. I'm 5'3 and read taller but I have a smaller head where you're traditional gamine and and ingenue seem to have bigger heads proportionally to their bodies.
@@shanzerb2927 I think you're right. I've heard that too. My mom always says I have a pea-head 😄 🫛
That top looks fabulous on you.
As a flamboyant natural maxis are the bomb. I’ve never liked to wear shorts and on the knee styles because my legs look so short and my already pretty long torso looks out of proportion. I never realized it until you made this video so thank you!!
Too interesting, Jenn!
Some humans say they are born into the wrong body.
I just had the realisation I have been, too.
I have a perfectly proportioned inner self visually, and the opposite externally. ✌😉
Ps . I believe the rule of 'naturally occuring' thirds applies right across the body, too.
Ie shorter elements will replicate at chin, fore arm, calf, lower torso.
Long middle face, equals long waist, long mid leg/ arm.
Long forehead etc.
Could be wrong, but most biology replicates a template.
I love your videos, Jen! I would love to see videos combining two of your areas of your expertise: color theory and makeup. What kinds of makeup work for different seasons and product recommendations. Thanks!
Great idea! Thanks for the suggestion 💕
Im between a SN and FN , longish legs and arms , quite soft and busty with entuene essence at 5'5
Loved this! I figured this out a few years ago when I noticed that some people with short legs looked better with at knee shorts and skirts. They had long shins. I have short shins so I need a little heel at this length (I don’t wear high heels). I’ll have to try the midi length skirts, but at my age, no short shorts😁. I’ll stick to shorts that are just a few inches above the knee (knee wrinkles be damned!).😊
Jen, do platform shoes, as opposed to heels, also lengthen the shins? It's a bit different look from heels.
I've got short shins and I hate heels! I know what you're describing is right though.
In my experience as a short shinned person (who already has reasonably long legs), very flat platforms look the same as flats--my legs look stumpy. I only wear them with very short dresses or shorts. To overcome the midlength skirts looking disproportionate I find there has to be at least a little heel, making the top of the foot visually become part of the leg. It doesn't have to be very high heel. I have a few with 2 inch or less wedge or heel that still improve the visual length of my leg.
@@owatinay Good thinking. I suppose platforms are alright with pants though, because you are concealing the shoe and getting the illusion of height. Otherwise, a low heel with skin coloured shoes in a reasonably non-clunky shape is the ticket. I'm on the lookout.
@@notaclue822 oh yes for sure. Either really long or really short hemlines eliminate the stumpy shin problem for me, only mid length causes it because they highlight that area of my leg.
The heels to elongeted the lower leg thing was very interesthing. Now i understand why some people dont want muscular calves , because it visualy
" shorterns".
Idk if you changed something but you look so beautiful here!! Just WOW, very pretty😮👌 Thanks so much for teaching us about styling, it’s been very helpful!
Thank you so much! 😍💕
It would be very helpful if you could perhaps go through each of the Kibbe ID’s with specifics regarding this topic. I understand more now for those who have vertical- but for those of us who don’t I’m confused.
The information about knees is fantastic! This explains why I prefer flat platforms even though I’m tall as I hate heels 🎉
Love your videos :) video idea: who suits different types of jewelry/ earrings/ piercings (lobe, helix etc) :)
so excited about this video 🥰
I’m pretty sure I’m a DC; I also have a long torso. I have noticed that proportions are extremely important for me and there is a very very fine line I have to walk to get them correct and not make my torso look like the 2/3 part of the proportion 😅
TYSM for this, very validating.
your content is amazing!
What would you recommend for someone with a short torso AND short calves 😭
The human eye appreciates longer legs, especially those long from ankle to knee. All models have to be tall and long-legged, of course, but models with relatively long lower legs are especially valued. I’ve been using the Rule of Thirds in styling for 50 years. But, I find that the one-third on top, two-thirds on bottom proportion is the most flattering on me. We find the rule of thirds visually appealing in most things because it’s based, approximately, on the Golden Mean, or Golden Ratio, a number that has special properties in mathematics and is very prevalent in nature. I find the skirt lengths of just covering my kneecap, or just above it, are very flattering. I will go short as mid-thigh length to show off my slim legs, or as long as almost floor length. But, I just decided not to buy any more maxis, they’re just not that practical and always have to be hemmed shorter. All of these skirt/dress lengths work well with my beloved 2 to 2.5-inch heels (medium heels). I’m 5’4” and would wear higher heels if I could, but I just can’t tolerate 3-inch or higher ones (high heels), the arch pain is killer. This is the first time in my 64 years that stylish, modern medium heels are widely available, thanks to the pandemic’s influence in increasing the comfort of apparel. Finally, shoes that I love the look of, but can comfortably walk in, are no longer a rarity. I really couldn’t find anything like this during my corporate career days, my feet constantly hurt, even on weekends.
Jenn what about SNs what lengths do they need? I have always wondered about this.
I have no idea of my kibbe body type, but you just answered why knee length dresses look bad on me! 🤯I have long legs (thighs) but short shins.
You make the greatest videos ,very helpful ❤
Excellent video, well expressed as always!
Excellent video!!! 😍😍
Brilliant!
Thank you, that really helped. I have a very long torso with loong arms (that divide my whole body in half) and short legs + short shins. I understand how to make my legs appear longer by highliting my waistline and avoiding knee length. But I always struggle with my upper body. Somehow I can't figure out how to use rule of thirds for the neckline. I NEVER know how to wear a button up or a low neckline. My upper body looks droopy and weird with low necklines and too long with high necklines....!? please help I beg you 😂🙏
I have the difference of really long limbs and long shins so I'm not trying to lengthen my legs but also not trying to shorten them. I'm always told I need to "shorten" my leg length by wearing tunic tops. But I don't necessarily want to shorten my legs! Yes, I want to look proportionate but I'm not sure why anyone would want to shorten their legs so it confuses me lol
This is really interesting. My experience is the opposite. I've always been self conscious that i have short thighs and very long shins. I always wear either maxi or mini hemlines, and avoid anything in the middle just because i don't know how to style it. Maybe knee length would be flattering on me. I love maxi length things but I admit I feel self conscious and off in a mini. I should try it. I just worry about looking matronly and frumpy. Non of the images you used of women wearing a knee length hemline looked like that! I just worry I look like that.
So helpful! Thx!
thank you so much! btw your lipstick is awesome!! what is it?!🌹
Thanks! I’m using the Nars Soft Matte Lip Balm in Whiplash, topped with a gloss just in the centre 🤓
I can't work out my kibble shape, but at 5ft3 I only wear maxi / midi skirts never on the knee, and short shorts, longer shorts look awful on me.
Please make a video on piercing how then effect your face
if you know a rule, breaking it can be CONCIOUS instead of haphazard.....
Also, could you please link the tik tok video you.mentiom at the end that plays around with pattern, structure etc? 🙏
Question... Flamboyant Gamine was not mentioned in regard to Kibbe types that need to honor Vertical. This idea really confuses me, and furthermore that you did not include it. Haaallllpp.
Your channel seems very interesting and I would love to subscribe it, but this sound that accompanies the graphics is unbearable. Or is it only me? Would you please consider to give it up in your future videos?
Short shins! That’s why things look off! Bingo!
OT, but I love your top
10:35 those are not fabulous!😂😂😂

I'm fed up of bloggers saying 'you are doing this wrong'. Why assume your viewers are stupid? It's not catchy, it's insulting. Why not title this How to use rule of thirds for different body types'. ?
They do this to get your attetion,if they wrote:"how to use the rule of thirds" people who already have basic knowledge would probably skip the video as they are looking for more relevant information. Please find out more tactics that youtubers use, what you wrote is embarrasing. She never assumed that viewers didn't know or were missapplying it,she just wanted to give a fresh perspective, and maybe explain why the way they are applying the rule isn't working for them.
I have a ridiculously long torso with short arms and legs. Normal knee placement relative to my leg length. I’m fairly straight at a heavy weight but start leaning into an hourglass shape at a smaller size. I also have a big butt and most of my weight sits in my lower abdomen giving a weird egg shape from the side. (Thanks pcos)
I’ve found what works for me is a high waisted long denim skirt to my ankles. My top is fitted with a flared, cuffed or bell sleeves typically. The skirt elongates my legs, the fabric is thick enough not to bring my distended belly into the realm of pregnancy rumors and the top fit with unique sleeves bring focal attention to the smallest part of my body, my waist line.
I find Kibbe to be interesting, but when it comes to practical application for the every day woman, the rule of thirds is easier to learn and apply without hours of studying and confusion.
